Wallet setup and mining payout checks

Trace a reward from the pool ledger to the correct wallet without exposing recovery information.

Unbranded hardware wallet, secure closed metal storage box, compact ASIC miner connected through a small network hub, tasteful physical padlock and orange cable.

01

Identify the asset and receiving network

Write down the asset, payment network and receiving wallet before pasting an address. A familiar coin ticker does not establish that an exchange deposit route matches the pool payout route. Check any minimum deposit and required account fields with the receiving service. Do not fill a required field with a guess simply to save the form.

02

Verify the complete receiving address

Compare the full address after pasting and again in the saved payout settings. Use a receiving address generated by the wallet or service you actually control. Where practical, verify the flow with a small supported payout before larger balances accumulate. A successful small receipt checks that route; it does not validate an unrelated network or a later address change.

03

Keep receiving details separate from recovery secrets

A pool needs payout details, not your wallet recovery phrase or private keys. Protect the pool account with its available multifactor and payout controls. Store wallet backups securely and test the recovery procedure using the wallet maker’s instructions without entering secrets into support forms. The wallet and the pool are separate accounts with different recovery processes.

Find where a payment stopped

Keep the accounting stages separate. First inspect the credited amount, then payout eligibility, transfer status and receiving record. This produces a useful support request: it states exactly which stage has evidence and which does not. Include public transaction identifiers where relevant, with account secrets removed.

Record address changes as an operational event

Save the time, account owner, old address reference and verified new address in your private operating log. Recheck the next payment rather than assuming a successful settings screen proves delivery. If a payout destination changes unexpectedly, secure the account and contact the service through its official channel before continuing normal operation.
