An energy resource is not a supply contract
Country-level energy information is a starting point, not a site quote. Request connection capacity, applicable tariffs, curtailment terms and auxiliary power costs for a specific facility. Read the dated documents linked to each location and verify the terms directly before making a deployment decision.
Keep the date attached to the fact
A historical study can explain a change without describing today’s market. The U.S. EIA reference below is a February 2024 research publication. Utility tariff pages may change. This explorer does not display live hashrate shares, current legal status or guaranteed hosting availability.
Research the operating chain
Ask who owns the equipment, how access and repairs work, how performance is reported and how equipment can be returned. Compare delivery and service arrangements alongside energy costs. The map is a research interface; a marker does not indicate a LeedMiner facility or commercial partnership.
Compare specific sites in one matrix
Use one row per facility rather than one row per country. Include available continuous capacity, cooling design, seasonal constraints, equipment access, reporting frequency and the dated electricity proposal. Mark each field as documented, verbally stated or unresolved. This keeps a polished sales presentation from appearing equivalent to an enforceable service scope or a verified operating record.
Check the operating handoff before scaling
Ask for a sample equipment report, a maintenance ticket and a billing example with private customer information removed. Check whether their identifiers and periods can be reconciled. A small initial deployment can test reporting and service coordination, but its results still need to be evaluated against the agreed terms. Keep the decision log when choosing between facilities.
Understand the place.

EIA’s February 2024 study discusses estimating mining electricity demand. Use it as historical energy research, not a current tariff or hashrate share.
Ask about site capacity, metering and curtailment terms.
