The iBeLink BM-S3+ deserves a model-specific assessment, not a fixed daily-profit promise. LeedMiner's current catalog records the 25 TH/s version at 3,400 W. The older BM-S3 is a different configuration: iBeLink's own BM-S3 V3.0 listing specifies 19 TH/s and 3,100 W. Mixing the two power figures understates the electricity budget for the plus model.

This guide is a specification and operating-cost review, not a hands-on test. Check the exact nameplate, firmware mode and seller's test record before using any catalog figure in a purchase decision. Availability, warranty and the delivered batch need separate confirmation.

BM-S3+ and BM-S3: keep the versions separate

ConfigurationNominal hashrateListed wall powerCalculated energy per hash
BM-S3+ 25 TH/s, LeedMiner catalog25 TH/s3,400 W136 J/TH
BM-S3 V3.0, manufacturer specification19 TH/s ±5%3,100 W ±5%Approximately 163.2 J/TH at nominal values

The plus-model row comes from the LeedMiner BM-S3+ product record, not from an independently located manufacturer BM-S3+ datasheet. The second row is supported by the manufacturer's BM-S3 V3.0 page, which specifies wall power at a 25°C ambient temperature. Its operating conditions and tolerances should not automatically be copied to the plus model.

For the nominal values above, dividing watts by TH/s gives J/TH. The BM-S3+ has about 31.6% more nominal hashrate and about 9.7% more power draw than the BM-S3. That makes its calculated energy requirement per hash about 16.6% lower. These are arithmetic comparisons of listed specifications, not measured performance or a prediction of investment return.

Electricity cost: a transparent planning calculation

At a constant 3.4 kW for 24 hours, the BM-S3+ would consume 81.6 kWh per day. The corresponding 3.1 kW BM-S3 calculation is 74.4 kWh. The difference is 7.2 kWh per day.

Daily electricity cost = measured wall power in kW × operating hours × electricity tariff.

Illustrative electricity tariffBM-S3+ at 3.4 kWBM-S3 at 3.1 kW
$0.045/kWh$3.67/day$3.35/day
$0.08/kWh$6.53/day$5.95/day
$0.12/kWh$9.79/day$8.93/day

These are electricity-only examples, rounded to cents, assuming uninterrupted operation at the listed power. They exclude auxiliary cooling, network equipment, demand charges, taxes and hosting fees. Actual consumption depends on the unit, firmware, operating mode, ambient conditions and uptime. Use an appropriate power meter or the site's metered records to replace the assumed wattage after commissioning.

A previous version of this article mixed 3,100 W and 3,400 W and included a daily electricity figure that did not follow from either rating at the stated tariff. The formula above makes those assumptions explicit instead of presenting the old result as current.

Profitability is separate from efficiency

A lower J/TH figure can reduce electricity used per unit of work, but it does not establish today's net income. Use the current payout record for the configured network and pool, the actual exchange rate if converting proceeds, pool fees, electricity and the other operating costs of your site. Keep every input on the same date and time basis.

Calculate operating surplus as mining proceeds less electricity and the operating charges actually incurred. Then assess hardware acquisition, delivery, installation and repair costs separately. A surplus for one day is not evidence of a fixed payback period. Downtime, rejected shares, changing network competition and conversion costs can materially change results.

Do not reuse the April 2025 coin-price snapshot or fixed daily-profit numbers from the earlier article as a live estimate. This guide deliberately avoids an unverified current revenue figure or a guaranteed return. Compare several operating scenarios and include a case where proceeds fall below the electricity bill.

Installation and maintenance checks

Ask the supplier to identify the exact model and provide its matching electrical and operating documentation. The manufacturer's BM-S3 V3.0 page lists Ethernet and a 190–240 V AC input; these are reference details for that model, not blanket approval for every BM-S3+ unit. Have a qualified installer confirm the circuit, connectors, continuous-load capacity and local installation requirements for the equipment actually delivered.

Plan airflow, heat removal and service access before purchase. Request recent fan, temperature, hashboard and accepted-share records rather than relying on an exterior photograph. For used equipment, establish its condition, repair history, included power supply and the party responsible for any warranty. A generic manufacturer warranty statement does not prove coverage for a particular resale unit.

Use the manufacturer's support documentation to identify the correct support channel. Confirm firmware compatibility for the exact model before making changes. Keep a copy of the working configuration and change one setting at a time so troubleshooting remains traceable.

Buying or hosting: what to verify next

Consult the BM-S3+ specifications and BM-S3 model details to avoid confusing the two versions. These links are for model information; they are not a statement that either machine is currently available. Ask LeedMiner to verify the specific batch, condition, delivery schedule and warranty before committing to an order.

If considering mining hosting, request an itemized proposal covering metered energy, ancillary charges, minimum commitments, curtailment, repairs, withdrawal and termination. Compare the total operating arrangement with your own site rather than treating a headline electricity rate as an all-inclusive cost.
